- *AMENDMENT 0001* Amendment 0001 is being issued to provide questions and answers in Projnet Bidder Inquiry, revised Technical Specifications, physical site visit sign-in sheet, and update the Period of Performance. NOTE: The deadline for receipt of bids is not extended by this Amendment and remains 31 August 2023 at 1:00PM Central Time. The Nashville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, is issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for a firm fixed-price construction contract. The work includes construction of the Barkley Dam Site Water Supply Lines which includes demolishing the existing and installing the new vertical section of the 3-inch treated water line and the 2-inch compressed air line in the powerhouse hoistway (approximately 120 feet). This will include a condensate drain, service outlet, and any valves in the existing system. Replace all vertical hangers (fourteen total). The new water and air line must be installed in the existing blockout in the hoistway at Barkley Dam Site near Grand Rivers, Kentucky. Location: The work is located at Barkley Dam Site near Grand Rivers, KY. Exact locations for work at Barkley Dam Site are indicated in the contract drawings. NAICS CODE AND SBA SIZE STANDARD: 237110 - Water and Sewer Line, and Related Structures Construction; Size Standard $45.0M TYPE OF SET ASIDE: Total Small Business Set-Aside SITE VISIT: A site visit is scheduled for 15 August 2023 at 10:00AM Central Time. The site visit request forms are attached.Each individual will be responsible providing his/her own safety equipment (i.e. hard hats, steel toed safety shoes, etc.). Contractors who are interested in attending the site visit are strongly encouraged to submit the site visit request form as soon as possible to avoid missing the submission deadline for the forms. Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where work is to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of the contract performance (FAR 52.236-27 Alternate 1, Site Visit (Construction)).QUESTIONS: Questions must be submitted in Projnet Bidder Inquiring using the Quick Key in the solicitation no later than 18 August 2023. BID OPENING: The Bid Opening is scheduled for 31 August 2023 at 1:00PM Central Time. Bids must be submitted in PIEE Solicitation Module. The Solicitation, Bid Schedule, Technical Plans and Specifications are only available via the PIEE Solicitation Module. SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM): Offerors are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database (https://sam.gov) and PIEE at the time a bid is submitted in order to comply with the annual representations and certifications requirements. Registration for PIEE is required as this is the only place bids shall be submitted.
