Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) has a requirement for the purchase of Exploding Bridge Wire (EBW) detonators. Detonators are to be used for testing at the detonation technology facilities and explosive test ranges. The required RP Detonator types include the following: Detonator Type RP-1 RP-2 RP-3 RP-80 RP-81 RP-83 RP-85 RP-87 RP-501 RP-502 BK-8 NSWC IHD intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis to Teledyne RISI, Inc., located at 32727 W Corral Hollow Rd, Tracy, CA 95376. The NAICS code is 325920 and the PSC is 1375. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 3204(a)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be available for this procurement. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract.
