Description

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. The Medical Readiness Contracting Office � West, Fort Cavazos, TX, intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Werfen USA, Inc, 180 Hartwell RD, Bedford, Massachusetts, 01730-2443, United States, under the authority 41 U.S.C. 1901, IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) Only one source is reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization. The purpose of this FY24 requirement is to purchase a full-service maintenance agreement for the Instrumentation Lab�s ACL TOP 300 CTS Hematology (Coagulation) Analyzers. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn is responsible to the Government. Award will be on or about August 25, 2023. This supply requirement is commercial in nature and will be a firm-fixed price contract. This service requirement is within the North American Industry Classification System NAICS 811210 ��Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The Small Business Size Standard is $34M. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES, BIDS, OR PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract for full-service maintenance agreement for the Instrumentation Lab�s ACL TOP 300 CTS Hematology (Coagulation) Analyzers through Werfen USA, Inc. Due to the proprietary nature of the equipment, this requirement cannot be solicited. The specific model required is only provided by the authorized distributor/dealer. The equipment and all parts associated are sole sourced and can be ordered through Werfen USA, Inc. Werfen USA, Inc is the only authorized distributor/dealer. The Contracting Officer determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonable available. A solicitation will not be published.
