- The U.S. Army Contracting Command � New Jersey (ACC-NJ) on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capability Development Command � Armament Center, intends to solicit and award a hybrid Firm Fixed Price/Time & Materials Contract for Preventative Maintenance, Repair & Emergency Repair Services of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) X-Ray Equipment Linear Accelerators to VJ Technologies, Inc 89 Carlough Rd Bohemia, NY 11716-2903 (CAGE Code 0JLW5). This solicitation is being conducted on a sole source basis pursuant to the authority of 41 United States Code 1901 as implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.501(a)(1)(ii), sole source (including brand name) under the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commercial items. The applicable NAICS Code for this is 811310. For this effort the Contractor shall provide maintenance and support services for all VJT instrumentation and system components. This includes repair of linear accelerators, generators, computers, supporting software, and imaging devices. Personnel radiation safety components shall be covered in this contract as well (safety interlocks, radiation surveys). The maintenance contract shall ensure maximum up-time and stability of the NDT equipment.� Preventive maintenance consists primarily of inspection, calibration, adjustment, and minor part or component replacement (to include but not limited to power supply, relays, cables, fluids and shielding) as required to minimize malfunction, breakdown, and deterioration of equipment; and the identification of and/or performance of any repairs required to ensure the equipment is operating per manufacturer�s standards. THIS SYNOPSIS DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). Further, this synopsis does not guarantee of a future RFP and should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the U.S. Government.
