- Description
- Provide double steel pipe scaffolding for temporary works. Remove existing built-up roof system including roofing sheet, protection board, cant strip �and rigid insulation over the existing roof deck (Remove and reinstall the existing walkway pads at the same place where they were). Clean and prepare surface to apply TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) roofing system by removing loose/flaking particles, grease, laitance, dust, dirt and other contaminants. Install 4-1/2� poly-isocyanurate board rigid insulation with vapor barrier, cant strip and cricket as shown on the drawing (There shall be air space between the rigid insulation and other material to protect contraction and expansion problems). Install TPO sheet membrane over the rigid insulation board by using hot air welded machine according to the standard mechanically attached application method in the attached Particular Specification. Replace existing metal cap flashing over the parapet coping including wood nailer (if necessary) and sub-roof materials with new (Apply acrylic water proofing coating on the area that is vulnerable to leakage especially around the mechanical equipment and roof access hatch). Clean up existing scupper/conductor head & downspout and install two new concrete splash blocks. Perform surface preparation for paint/coating work according to O&MA specification (All surface coating/painting shall be applied by brush or roller.� Using spray equipment is prohibited for minimization of air emissions unless otherwise specified or recommended by the paint manufacturer). Apply paint/coating on the existing EIFS walls with MPI 10 (Primer) � MPI 10 (Intermediate) � MPI 10 (Topcoat). Apply paint/coating on the existing metal surface such as steel door/frame, canopy, and steel pipe/conduit with MPI 79 (Primer) � MPI 94 (Intermediate) � MPI 94 (Topcoat). *Use epoxy-polyamide primer for PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) coated metal surfaces instead of MPI 79 to strengthen adhesion of intermediate & top coat. For the metal canopies, paint them in the user�s favorite color and use MPI 9 (Alkyd-G6) for intermediate & topcoat. �� Replace existing 2x2 acoustical ceiling tiles with new ones in the seating area and kitchen area of the building (acoustical ceiling tile area only). Remove all construction debris originated from the project and clean up the job site. Remove/reinstall existing mechanical and electrical equipment over the roof if necessary and any damages caused by this project shall be repaired or replaced to match existing condition to adjacent areas by the contractor.
