Description
Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intent to require, on a sole source basis, a brand name requirement for the Phillips systems in the new Surgical and Clinical Tower Project at the VA West Haven Campus. The Patient Monitoring system includes patient monitoring connections, RF receivers, monitors, servers, switches, and infrastructure to support devices. The patient monitoring system has one server in the data center and distribution equipment in the local TR rooms. The current patient monitoring system at the hospital is Phillips. The patient monitoring system needs to communicate throughout the facility to monitor patients as they move through the facility. The system will need to have full integration to allow movement between locations in the hospital. Monitoring is critical to providing patient care across hospital locations (surgery, PACU, ICU, patient rooms, movement from one area to the other). Patient monitoring systems are proprietary systems and do not talk to each other. The only way to provide monitoring for patients without interruption is the provide a system that is comprised of only one manufacturer. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. It is a market research tool being used to determine the availability of other qualified sources that can meet the requirements identified above and inherent with the referenced Phillips system. The Government is not obligated to, and will not pay for, any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice of intent. All responses received within 15 days of the posting of this notice of intent will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government to require the brand name for the Phillips system for the VA West Haven procurement based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determine whether to allow alternate system manufacturers. Submit responses within 15 days of the posting of this notice of intent via email to: tyler.s.maryak@usace.army.mil (list ""W912WJ24X0009 Patient Monitoring"" in the subject line of the email).
