Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Deputy Director of Infectious Diseases/ National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepitatis, STD and TB Prevention/Division of HIV Prevention (CDC/NCHHSTP/DHP) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Quanterix, 900 Middlesex Turnpike,� Billernica MA 01821. The CDC Division of HIV Prevention Laboratory Branch supports CDC/HHS goals to end the�HIV Epidemic in the US by developing and implementing state-of-the-art diagnostics assays to help identify people with HIV. Diagnosing people with HIV is one of the main pillars of this effort. The laboratory performs vital applied research to inform the development of novel diagnostic assays.� Acquisition of this state-of-the-art instrument will support diagnostic assay development and ongoing research in humans and non-human models of HIV infection.� This request will allow the purchase of a Quanterix SP-X immunoassay instrument that will be used in studies to identify biomarkers associated with and to develop laboratory test panels for the identification of PrEP breakthrough and occult HIV infections. Quanterix instrumentation is ideal for the HIV diagnostics laboratory to develop new HIV diagnostic assays and provide this technology.� They are capable of the high level of sensitivity demonstrated on this platform This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP).� Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.� A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� Any quotation/response should be emailed to contract specialist, Alverta Lopez at qvb0@cdc.gov by COB �September 13, 2023.
