- Description
- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION 36C10A23Q0193 Amendment 0001 Asset, Equipment, Inventory, and Management Solution QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: Question #1: Is the VA/NCA also looking for a Digital Signage Software as part of the solution now or in the future? Should we include these capabilities in our reply? Answer #1: No, this is not planned for NCA in the future. This project will also be used to increase kiosk 508/ADA compliance and accessibility for Veterans, family members, and other visitors. Question #2: Will there be a requirement now or into the future to provide a single interface that brings together the MBMS (for display such as we are doing for Arlington National Cemetery), Provides a Portal/Entryway to the Veterans Legacy Memorial, a replacement for BOSS-E, NGL and other functionality. Answer #2: Yes, there may be a future requirement as NCA moves forward with implementing MBMS (to replace BOSS-E) and using this as a gateway into VLM, as well. This will also require changes to the NGL interface. Question #3 / Answer #3: What is the logistical process for shipping and installation - generally? Shipping point to point or to a central, geographically located location(s)? All Kiosk items are shipped direct to the needed location for installation. What receiving facilities are available at shipping destinations (i.e. loading dock)? Most locations have a forklift on site. A lift gate may be required at some locations. Are pre-installation site visits permitted? Yes Can the kiosks be delivered and placed in storage until installation can be completed, or does installation need to be coordinated with the arrival of the kiosks? Kiosk can be stored at location for a short duration pending installation. Small sites would not have building space available for storage; if a cabinet is shipped it would be stored outdoors. Electronics can be stored inside. Question #4: Is the thru-wall kiosk completely outdoors, or is part of it inside of a climate controlled, indoor area? Answer #4: Part of the cabinet is inside a building that is climate controlled. Question #5: What size paper and capacity is required for the thermal printer? Answer #5: Current paper used is 8 ½ wide roll. Question #6: Why is the indoor kiosk depth required to be 26 deep? Can it be thinner? Answer #6: If all required equipment (Such as printer) can fit, yes. Question #7: What size display is desired for both kiosks? Answer #7: Display must meet ADA/ 508 requirements. Question #8: Is portrait or landscape display orientation preferred? Answer #8: No preference of orientation; must meet ADA/ 508 requirements. Question #9: What color are the kiosks? Will graphics be needed (logo, messaging, etc.) Answer #9: Currently no color, is a stainless-steel cabinet, view below. Message across top Gravesite Locator .
