Description
Naval Supply Systems Command San Diego hereby gives NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE to Stryker a McGrath MAC A03 EMD Video Laryngoscope and supporting accessories. The laryngoscope extends the reach of care by improving laryngeal view during emergent intubations. They provide paramedics with the ability to better visualize the airway when the condition of the patient or scene prohibits them from obtaining a sufficient direct view. The anterior camera angle enables the provider to see anatomy that is too far anterior to view directly. Because emergent intubations dont give providers the ability to evaluate the difficulty of a patients airway ahead of time, having the Video Laryngoscope allows EMS to be prepared for the wide variety of anatomic differences that can result in a difficult airway giving them the confidence that they have the right tool for every intubation.
