Description
U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Tucson Sector is seeking sources for 41 off-road motorcycles meeting or exceeding the following specifications: - Current-year model, new and unused - 450 cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine - Electric Start - Five or Six-Speed Transmission - Front Suspension: Spring-type fork with damping adjustability; 11-13 inches of travel - Rear Suspension: Single shock with adjustable spring preload, rebound and compression damping adjustability; Minimum 11 inches of travel - Front Brake: 260mm disc - Rear Brake: 240mm disc - Wheelbase: Minimum of 58 inches - Ground Clearance: Minimum of 13 inches - Fuel Capacity: 1.5 gallons or more - Required upgrades and accessories: skid plate, radiator guard, cooling fan, hour meter, hand guards The size standard for NAICS code 336991 is 1,050 employees. If interested, please answer the following questions: 1. Could you offer off-road motorcycles meeting the above specifications available in the required quantity? If so, please provide at least one example of a product that you offer. 2. What is the estimated delivery time from receipt of order for the required quantity? 3. Are you a manufacturer or nonmanufacturer of this item? 4. Are you a small business concern? If so, do you qualify under any small business socioeconomic contracting programs (e.g., HUBZone, Women-Owned Small Business, or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business)? 5. In order to determine compliance with the nonmanufacturer rule (see FAR clause 52.219-33, Nonmanufacturer Rule) in the case of a small business set-aside: a. If you are a nonmanufacturer, does your business meet the size standard requirement of 500 employees or fewer? b. Could you provide a technically acceptable item that a small business concern has manufactured, processed, or produced in the United States or its outlying areas?� If so, please provide the following:� the name of the manufacturer, the size of the manufacturer, and the place of manufacture. This is a sources sought notice, not an RFQ. Quotes are not being requested at this time and no award will result from this notice. Information received will be used to determine the government's acquisition strategy.� Respondents are responsible for any and all costs incurred as a result of responding to this notice.
