Description

NOTICE OF INTENT The 18th Contracting Squadron, Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan intends to award a sole source purchase order of� Motorola fire station alert PA system. No other system would fully integrate with the current LMR network and infrastructure on Kadena Air Base. The Station Alerting System offers dispatchers integration capabilities to reach across multiple applications and resources for enhanced response coordination. A highly intuitive interface increases ease of use for organizing resources, coordinating a response and communicating valuable information. Inherent reliability and security of the Station Alerting System ensures dispatchers stay connected to those in the field with best-in-class audio quality, flexible servicing and installation on a software-based platform makes deployment affordable. This proposed contract action is for products/services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Interested entries may submit clear and convincing evidence to support their ability to fully meet the requirement to the individual(s) identified below no later than Sep 8, 2023, 4:00 PM Japan Standard Time. The Government does not anticipate receiving responses to this notice. If parties choose to respond, any costs associated with the preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government. In order to comply with FAR 5.207(c)(15), the reason for lack of competition is as follows: This procurement will be awarded on a sole source basis to Motorola Solutions. Market research was conducted and it was determined that no other sources can provide a Fully Integrating Fire Station PA Alert System that can meet this requirement. All responsible sources must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at the following website: https://sam.gov. Notice to Offeror(s)/Supplier(s): Funds are not presently available for this effort. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs.�
