Description

The 190th ARW Contracting Office, Forbes Field AB, Topeka, KS 66619, hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to TSI Incorporated on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is to provide a TSI Inc., PortaCount Respirator Test Fit Model 8045-T-B2B5 as these masks are fit-tested annually, for the protection of the personnel that are required to wear them during a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) materials incident. Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the required items. TSI Inc., is the original equipment manufacturer and operates on a direct sales model in the United State and does not utilize third party resellers. Therefore, the government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis from TSI Inc. for the PortaCount Respirator Test Fit Model 8045-T-B2B5. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within five (5) calendar days after the date of the publication of this notice will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
