Description
Conveyor maintenance needs to be performed on all conveyors, including the initial drive system conveyor, euthanizing and disposal conveyors. The motors need to be opened and inspected for degraded seals, lubrication, and corrosion. Euthanizing Chamber Conveyor Plates and Brush required Reverse Engineering. Vendor will adjust the gap between the conveyors to provide a smooth transition of animals as they enter and exit the chamber. In addition, vendor will inspect all roller transitions used between all onboard conveyors. If the gap cannot be closed, the transition will be modified to achieve a tight gap between all conveyors. hydraulic rams were leaking and required repair or replacement. Without this repair, hydraulic oil will leak onto the ground contaminating the soil or surrounding area of operation. The ramp required modification to narrow the entry as animals get closer to the initial conveyor leading to the euthanizing chamber. The trailers required Slide Modifications and Weatherproofing to Prevent Water Intrusion, the Trailer floor is wood with a resin topcoat from front to rear. The floor was degraded at the rear of the trailer where moisture from water and hydraulic fluid has penetrated. Removal of the Existing Floor would be required and replace with Stainless Steel. An external power receptacle is required to allow for a back-up generator in the event the on-board unit fails and structural maintenance to trailer axles, brakes, airlines trailer lighting, and structure. Remove all conveyors and equipment at the floor level and remove the entire flooring system from the trailer. Vendor will design a new floor system using inch stainless sheets. Flat sheets will be used in the equipment area and diamond plate surface for the walkways. Vendor will cut and weld the stainless-steel plates to create a seamless floor and add structure to the chassis where needed and reinstall all conveyors and equipment back into the trailer, make any necessary modifications, and complete all maintenance actions. Once the new flooring is installed, vendor will create several drainage locations to allow the system to drain after disinfecting and cleaning the trailer. This includes lubrication, replacement parts where needed, and adjustments to ensure all mechanical components are within tolerances. Estimated value is $1,389,996.00 for 2 units.
