Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to negotiate a modification to contract GS-06F-0023R / 36C10X21F0010 that supplies the Austin Information Technology Center (AITC) with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) System, Batteries, and Power Distribution Unit (PDU) Maintenance. The purpose of this modification is to incorporate two open market items for UPS cooling fans and filtering capacitors� to update the current UPS system. In order to ensure the warranty status and design reliability of the UPS system the Government requires� four UPS capacitors be upgraded to 9395 AC and DC Oil Filled Capacitors (P/N 103007102) and one UPS fan be upgraded to a 9395 1100-1100 CH FAN (P/N FP106000128). Eaton Corporation (SAM UIE: NP3NSFVMNUM3) currently provides UPS System, Batteries, and PDU Maintenance for the AITC under the delivery order and has the experience and knowledge supporting the specific tasks and deliverables in support of the AITC UPS System, Batteries, and PDU Maintenance. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This proposed modification is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of only one source under the authority of FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B). This is a ""Notice of Intent"" and not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. Interested parties that feel they can provide the services may respond to the point of contact listed in this notice with a capability statement no later than 10:00AM EDT on September 14, 2023. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government.
