Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) supports the Naval Sea Systems Command in-service engineering Heavyweight/Lightweight program. In support of this program, this requirement is for replacement of NUWCDIVNPT�s currently obsolete Logical�s NuVax Boards MVX-1000-DD. The requirement is to convert these NuVax Boards model MVX-1000-DD to NuVax Boards model MVX-1000-DC in order to be compatible for use as ready spares. NUWCDIVNPT intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) purchase order on a sole source basis to The Logical Company (""Logical"") (CAGE Code 0VSS0) under the authority of FAR 6.302. Logical is a small business under the relevant NAICS Code 541519 Logical is the manufacturer of these boards, and is the only source capable of updating the obsolete boards to the newer versions. Attempting to integrate another manufacturer�s boards at this point would require a substantial cost to the program and create substantial delays with supporting repairs when needed.
