Sources Sought Notice Page 4 of 4 *= Required Field Sources Sought Notice Page 1 of 4 SOURCES SOUGHT WITH INTENT TO SOULE SOURCE Same Day Surgery Slings This is a Sources Sought (SS) Notice only; it is not a Solicitation (i.e. Request for Proposal, Request for Quotation, or Invitation for Bids.), This SS is part of a Government market research effort to determine the scope of industry capabilities and interest and will be treated as information only. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responses to this SS are strictly voluntary and the Government will not pay respondents for information provided in response to this SS. Responses to this SS will not be returned and respondents will not be notified of the result of the review. Although responses to the questions posed by the Government would be most beneficial to this market research effort. The purpose of this SS is to conduct Market Research to determine an acquisition strategy for the establishment patient slings at the Dayton Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (DAY VAMC). The Medical service has a requirement for patient slings. Universal sling for general transfers to support the whole of the body, to include bariatric slings. The full body lifting sling shall be suitable for a wide variety of users and lifting operations. The sling supports the entire body including the head. The sling is ideal for lifting, moving and positioning users who have reduced control in their head, upper and lower body. It can be used from a seated or lying position, for example from the floor, bed or wheelchair. The Basic High is designed to be a general lifting sling to achieve most lifting situations. The basic sling shall be available in several sizes and two different materials polyester or polyester net, which can be used as a bathing sling. Both materials are highly durable and easy to work with, allowing air to circulate around the body and providing excellent comfort and support for the user.  The standard lifting capacity shall be up to 255 kg/560 lbs. The bariatric lift capacity shall be up to 500 kg/1102 lbs. The slings shall be certified to use with Guldmann ceiling lift systems and mobile lifters. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 10, is conducting market research to determine if there are a sufficient number of Small Businesses capable of performing the requirements to warrant a set-aside. The proposed solicitation is to furnish all materials, labor, equipment and transportation required to provide equipment to the DAY VAMC. Contractor shall also comply with any other federal, state, and local laws applicable to the industry. Potential sources must demonstrate experience and knowledge of required services and capability to provide such services. Potential sources should submit: Point of Contact with email address and phone number; Business name and address; Business size pursuant to NAICS code 339113, (size standard 750 employees); business size; Applicable business socio-economic category; GSA, NAC, TAC, or SAC contract number if applicable; Capability statement; Recent and relevant projects similar in nature; SAM UEI number; brochure of commodity requested; After Receipt of Order (ARO) Days; and What country made. Contractors are hereby notified that if a competitive solicitation is issued on the Beta SAM website http:// https://sam.gov at a later date, all interested parties must respond to that Solicitation announcement separately from any response to this SS announcement. This SS does not restrict the Government's acquisition approach on a future Solicitation. Proprietary/Competition Sensitive information (appropriately marked) will be protected from disclosure to the greatest extent practical, however it is preferred that respondents do not provide proprietary or otherwise restricted responses unless they are indicating proprietary technical characteristics. The Department of Veterans Affairs, DAY VAMC, 4100 West 3rd Street, Dayton, OH 45428 does intent to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 8.405-6(b)(1), Limited sources justification and approval. The NAICS code is 339113 with a small business size standard of 750. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Interior Fusion, 36F79720D0040, 7225 Bryan Dairy Road, Suite B, Largo, FL 33777, for a Guldmann Patient Slings.
