- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A BRAND NAME ONLY IDIQ: This notice announces the intent by the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) in support of the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) to procure a Brand Name Only Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) as prescribed in FAR 13.501(a)(1)(i). �The recommended Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for this brand name requirement is: Getinge USA Sales, LLC; Cage Code 7Z1K6; 45 Barbour Pond Drive, Wayne, NJ� 07470.� Getinge USA Sales and TrillaMed LLC are authorized licensed resellers of Getinge brand name equipment. USAMRIID works closely with other U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC) organizations, DoD, the Interagency (including Interagency Laboratories), and private companies to accomplish its mission of protecting the Warfighter from biological threats and being prepared to investigate disease outbreaks or threats to public health. All regulated medical waste from laboratories and biocontainment spaces (BSL-3 and BSL-4) must be sterilized prior to disposition IAW AR 385-10, DA Pam 385-69, DoDM 6055.18, and Biosafety in Microbiological and Biomedical Laboratories (BMBL) 6th Edition. � The objectives of this IDIQ are to (1) replace biocontainment sterilizer unit(s) (to include removal and disposal of existing units as well as installation of new units with biocontainment bioseal, certification and validation) and (2) upgrade software operating control systems for existing pass-through biocontainment autoclaves. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform biocontainment sterilizer replacement (to include removal and disposal of existing biocontainment sterilizer units as well as installation of new units with biocontainment bioseal, certification and validation), and upgrade of existing biocontainment autoclave controls (MCII, PAC-3000). Minimum Essential Characteristics for a Steam Sterilizer 26''x26''x39'' Chamber Single automatic Door (BSL2) Double door units (BSL3 and 4) With Interior Rack & 2 Shelves Exports cycle records to USB storage device Shall be a microcomputer-controlled steam sterilizer that offers the option of either prevacuum or gravity displacement cycles for sterilization of laboratory, research, and animal care supplies Shall feature an Avanti touch-panel control interface with 19 selectable pre-programmed cycles. Shall have the ability for the door to remain sealed during potential utility failure. Shall have NetCOM enabled Ethernet connection for remote process monitoring; a thermal printer that documents cycle performance, and a user accessible connection for downloading cycle records to a USB flash drive. Shall have independently validated bioseal flange (For BSL3 and 4 Units) Shall have stainless steel siding enclosing the unit for multiple install method possibilities. Contractor shall provide installation of purchased unit and deinstallation of existing unit for Government disposition. SERVICES requested: Single mobilization, relating to: Supervision of Customer's rigging contractor (at building site) Final set-in place Equipment leveling Equipment assembly Identify final utility connection points Perform equipment startup vendor will provide operator & supervisor training The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 811310 Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment and the PSC Code is 6640 Laboratory Equipment and Supplies. Proposed solicitation number: HT9425-23-Q-0094 This announcement fulfills the synopsis requirements under FAR 5.102(a)(6) and 5.203(a). �This Special Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a brand name competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. If no written responses are received by the date listed below, which reflects at least fifteen (15) days after the publication of this notice, the solicitation will be issued as sole source.
