- This solicitation is being advertised as a noncompetitive sole source solicitation. As provided under FAR 13.103-1(b)(1), this project will be solicited on a noncompetitive basis because there is only one responsible source capable satisfying the agency�s requirement. The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Basin Hoover Dam has a requirement for Gas Detection equipment and 5-yrs of training. This entails brand name Draeger Gas Detection units and 5-years of annual training on the equipment to ensure employee are certified to be in confined spaces. Reclamation intends to award, on a sole source basis, a single award Firm Fixed Price contract to Draeger Inc Draeger is the only source contractor that is able to provide this product and training to Hoover Dam on an annual basis. It is imperative to maintain continuity of the services this product provides in order to maintain the Bureau of Reclamation effectiveness. The NAICS for this action is 334519, Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing, which has a small business size standard of 600 employees. Award is anticipated in September 2023. The resulting contract will be a Single Award Firm Fixed Price contract. The contract award information will be posted on SAM.gov Contract Opportunities website at SAM.gov | Home.
