Description

This is a public synopsis of a forthcoming solicitation in accordance with FAR 36.213-2. This is NOT a solicitation, and no solicitation documents are currently publicly available. This pre-solicitation notice is for Solicitation Number 36C24222B0040 - Project Number 632-21-120 to Install Hazard Shower & Eyewash Stations at the VA Medical Centre Northport NY at 79 Middleville Rd. Northport, NY 11768 This project will be 100% Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). Competition for this procurement is restricted to verified SBA Cert SERVICE- DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) Contractors. The SDVOSB must be a small business under the relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in https://veterans.certify.sba.gov. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, size standard: $39.5 million. IAW VAAR 852.219-10 the VIP listed SDVOSB. Prospective Contractor is required to perform a minimum of 25% of the construction work. The estimate price range for this project is $500,000 and $1,000,000. SCOPE OF WORK: The scope of this project is to provide new emergency eyewash and drench shower stations to the required spaces and upgrade or remove existing stations. The Contractor shall furnish labor and materials and perform work for installations, upgrades, or removal of emergency eyewash and shower stations as shown on contract documents (E.G. SOW, drawings, schedules, specifications). Work may include general demolition, construction, alterations, mechanical, electrical, & plumbing work, necessary for the successful execution and completion of the project. The contractor will be required to provide all manpower to Install Hazard Shower & Eyewash Stations at the VA Medical Centre Northport NY, 11768. PROJECT COMPLETION: Contractor to start immediately after receiving the Notice to Proceed and complete required work in 180 calendar days. Prospective contractors must be registered and certified online with SBA Cert information in lieu of VetBiz https://veterans.certify.sba.gov and must be registered at https://www.sam.gov in accordance with 38 CFR Part 74 and VAAR 819.70 to be eligible for award. There will be a site visit held for this project and all prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Details of the site visit will be included in the solicitation document. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on/about September 25, 2023.
