Description: �� Notice of Intent -Sole Source Award The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Office of the Chief Procurement Officer on behalf of Office of Security, Police Officers, and Investigators, intends to award a sole source follow-on contract for CODAN High Frequency radio, antenna, and ancillary equipment (HF Radio) for service, �maintenance and repair, 1.1 Description: The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform CODAN HF Radio System Service and Maintenance Requirement as defined in this Performance Work Statement (PWS) except for those items specified as government furnished property and services.� The Contractor shall perform to the standards in this contract. 1.2 Background: The Bureau of Engraving & Printing (BEP) is a component of the Department of the Treasury and has a requirement of training, maintaining qualifications and continued proficiency of duty weapons for the Office of Security, Police Officers, and Investigators. Certain Category I Departments and Agencies, including the Department of the Treasury, are required by national communications policy (National Communications System Directive 3-10) to establish, maintain, and test regularly, emergency back-up HF Radio voice communications at their Alternate Operating Facility (AOF), which is in Fort Worth, Texas. 1.4 Scope: Service and maintenance of all existing CODAN High Frequency radio, antenna, and ancillary equipment (HF Radio) which are currently located at Washington D.C. and Fort Worth, Texas. Continued service and maintenance is required under the National Communications System Directive 3-10 stated above.� Prior to 2011, Treasury procured two CODAN HF Radios, antennas, and ancillary equipment (HF Radio) from CODAN Limited and had one (1) each installed at the BEP locations, Washington D.C. and Fort Worth, Texas. These HF radios are CODAN Model NGR AGT, with ancillary equipment, manufactured by CODAN Australia The Government intends to award a sole source contract to North Star Communications Inc utilizing �Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements� IAWFAR Subpart 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). Anticipated award date will be September 28, 2023 This notice of intent is not a request for competitive offers/quotes/proposals. A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The solicitation will not be posted. To be considered, responses MUST be received NO LATER THAN 4:00PM, EASTERN STANDARD TIME, 20SEPT2023.� Additionally, interested sources must be registered and currently active in the System for Award Management (SAM), found at https://www.beta.sam.
