Description
NOTICE OF INTENT. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 2 intends to solicit and award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract for maintenance/repairs and software upgrade for Edwards Lifesciences Hemosphere critical care monitor fleet and associated accessories, to Edwards Lifesciences LLC. 1 Edwards WAY, Irvine, CA 92614. In accordance with 41 U.S.C. ยง 1901, as implemented by FAR 13.106(b)(2)(i): Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The contract anticipated effective date is October 2, 2023. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Margaret Cochran Corbin (Manhattan) VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 423 E 23rd St, New York, NY 10010, is currently seeking a base plus two option year emergency repair and software upgrade for its Edwards Lifesciences Hemosphere critical care monitor (CCM) fleet and associated accessories. This fleet consists of five units located in the VAMC s operating room (OR) and medical intensive care unit (MICU) areas. The associated accessories consist of Hemosphere data acquisition modules, module to patient cables, and batteries. The required coverage will provide unlimited depot repair services, next day equipment and accessory loaners, remote technical support, all replacement parts and accessories, and software upgrades. These services are imperative to ensuring patient safety as Hemosphere operational time, is directly linked to clinician s ability to provide critical patient monitoring. Equipment and Accessory List: Equipment Edwards Lifesciences Hemosphere CCM Model: HEM1 Serial Number (SN#): 13822474 Ward: MICU Building 1, 11th Floor, West Ward Edwards Lifesciences Hemosphere CCM Model: HEM1 SN#: 13822480 Ward: OR Building 6, 4th Floor Edwards Lifesciences Hemosphere CCM Model: HEM1 SN#: 13822473 Ward: OR Edwards Lifesciences Hemosphere CCM Model: HEM1 SN#: 13822477 Ward: OR Edwards Lifesciences Hemosphere CCM Model: HEM1 SN#: 13822481 Ward: OR Accessories Hemosphere Swan-Ganz Module Model: HEMSGM10 Hemosphere Pressure Smart Cable Model: HEMPSC100 Hemosphere Tissue Oximetry Module Model: HEMTOM10 Hemosphere Secondary Tissue Oximetry Module Model: HEMFSM10 Hemosphere Monitor Battery Model: HEMBAT10 Hemosphere Oximetry Smart Cable Model: HEMOXSC100 This maintenance/service is required to ensure our facility s Hemosphere CCM fleet is maintained according to OEM standards. This service will also ensure the prompt response and repair of our Hemosphere fleet by an OEM trained and qualified field service engineer (FSE) in the event of a breakdown. Additionally, and overnight replacement equipment, thus optimizing fleet operational time. In addition these services will assure that the Operating Room (OR) and the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) are serviced properly and efficiently so that they may positively contribute to the VA s goal of providing the best patient care to our Veterans. The Government reserves the right to add or remove equipment from this coverage at any point of the procurement duration. The NAICS code is 811210 with a small business size standard of $34.0 Million. This is for informational purposes only and is not construed as a commitment by the Government. This is not a request for offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
