- Description
- Notice Type: Sources Sought Announcement (SSA) for Common Radar Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Adaptation and Integration 1. Synopsis Product Manager, Multiple-Mission Surveillance Systems (PdM M2S2), a component of the Search, Track, Acquire, Radiate, Eliminate (STARE) Project Office is issuing this SSA to assess industrys ability to satisfy a requirement to improve upon and/or adapt an existing high-fidelity all-digital representation of an advanced Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radars. Examples of these radars are the Sentinel A4 (AN/MPQ-64A4) and AN/TPQ-53 (Q-53). The Sentinel A4 system will maintain the current capabilities of the Sentinel A3 system but will also add advanced Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) sensor technologies that will improve system performance as well as meet evolving mission requirements that includes additional target sets such as the Counter-Rockets, Artillery, and Mortars (C-RAM). The Sentinel A4 system will support multiple command and control systems and will be a major component of the Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) System of Systems (SoS) architecture. The AN/TPQ-53 Counter Fire Target Acquisition Radar is a highly mobile fire finding/fire support radar system. The AN/TPQ-53 system locates hostile mortar, artillery, and rocket fire in a clutter environment, and supports friendly artillery registration and adjustment. A distributed digital receiver-exciter (DDREX) upgrade improves survivability in hostile jamming environments, provides multi-function capability and changes in support of Americas Mid-Band Initiative Team (AMBIT). Please see the attachment for further details.
