Description

Amendment 0001: The purpose of this amendment is to re-open this solicitation, further define the Government's requirement, and to extend the due date for receipt of quotes to 12:00PM EST, 20 September 2023. Marine Corps Installations East (MCI-East) Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice to intent to award a purchase order to Reston Software LLC., 12200 Dark Star Ct. Reston, Virginia, 20191-2610 (CAGE: 4G7T3) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Fleet Readiness Center East (FRC-East) aboard MCAS Cherry Point, NC has a requirement to establish a contract to procure one (1) newWaveX SD and one (1) newWaveX PD software licenses.� Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the required services due to proprietary software per the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the software, Spherea Technology, LTD.� Therefore, the government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis from Reston Software, LLC., the only authorized distributor for the OEM. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.� However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which, if received within five (5) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered.� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
