Description
Special Notice Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement The Department of Veterans Affairs, Roudebush VA Medical Center, 1481 West 10th St., Indianapolis, IN 46202-2803, intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with BioMerieux 515 Colorow Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah 84108; for the following reagent tests: Part # Description/Part Number* Qty 423742 Biofire Respiratory Panel RP2.1 14 RFIT-ASY-0118 Meningitis Panel 3 RFIT-ASY-0144 Pneumonia Panel 3 RFIT-ASY-0147 BCID2 13 RFIT-ASY-0116 GI PCR Panel 25 Indianapolis Pathology Lab utilizes these reagent kits with the BioFire FilmArray and BioFire FilmArray Torch instruments to perform PCR testing for diagnostic tests including Respiratory Viral Panels, Pneumonia Panels, Meningitis/Encephalitis Panels, Gastrointestinal Panels, and Blood Culture Identification Panels. A firm fixed price base contract is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Alternate submission: Offerors submitting alternate items must provide technical information sufficient for a lay person to determine acceptability, and must prove same form, fit and function as the requested items. Information will not be paid for by the government nor returned to the supplying party. The information will be used to determine product acceptability. Lack of sufficient information for our staff to determine product acceptability will result in a negative determination. New Equipment ONLY; NO remanufactured, used/refurbished, or ""gray market"" items. All items must be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. No product in development shall be considered. Authorized dealers: Experienced firms only who are authorized dealers will be considered in addition to the original equipment manufacturer. A letter from the manufacturer stating your company is an authorized dealer for the line items must be in possession by the due date and be available for submission, if requested.
