Description
Amendment 2 - Purpose is to clarify that the work ***must be completed in Alaska*** there is a 90 mile distance limit from JBER, AK to where the buses will be driven. The buses will not be transported out of state. Amendment 1 - Purpose is to extend the response due date to 2:30PM AKDT, 26 September 2023. Purchase and installation of two (2) dry air heaters, two (2) LED lights, and a battery tender on four (4) GSA International Buses for a total of eight (8) dry air heaters, eight (8) LED lights, and four (4) battery tenders. The dry air heaters need to be 12V and use diesel as its fuel source. The LED lighting needs to be 4-6, mounted to the front bumper, and have a switch on the drivers left console to turn on and off. The battery tender needs to be 2-4 Amps with the cord going to a junction box/power strip along with the block heater (already installed) with one female outlet coming out of the bus to plug into a power source. Contractor Requirements: Procurement of all parts and accessories required to install. Provide all labor required to inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles. Perform operational checks to ensure proper function and reliability as per manufacturers design. Air heaters are for passengers to stay warm during the colder winter months where the standard passenger heaters dont provide adequate heat. The fog lights are for seeing longer distance during the darker months and better visibility for seeing wildlife going to the drop zone. The buses do not get used daily so the battery tender will keep the batteries charged and will cut down on mobile maintenance calls. 773 LRS will be held responsible for the maintenance of the equipment and repair of a damage caused by the installation or removal of this equipment. The using organization will also put the vehicle back into technical order/original condition when the if the vehicle is rotated. Cost of modifications will be with agency funding. All external holes in the vehicle must be repaired prior to returning the vehicle to GSA and agency will incur all maintenance charges because of the installed modification.
