- The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO20 is looking for BRAND NAME or EQUAL sources of the following: Training Laptop NO NETWORK Qty. 4 Salient Characteristics: These training computers will be configured in an accessible way to evaluate and train Veterans in Speech Pathology with cognitive and/or communication deficits and physical barriers to access to technology, e-mail, Internet, word-processing, and other computing skills. A variety of assistive accessories will be used to evaluate best access to technology in the setting of physical limitations, such as upper extremity weakness. These computers will also allow access to guest Wi-Fi for connection to communication and cognitive training applications that are not accessible within the VA server. As the training computers will be off the VA network, a printer will be needed in order to have print capabilities when needed. The word-processing software must be Microsoft Office Home and Business. Must Have Features: Laptop Package: 17 screen and Windows Speech Recogntion (QTY 4) 3 year Warranty Vendor must confirm all accessories are compatible w/ laptops Microsoft Office Home Business (QTY 4) Dragon Naturally Speaking (dictation software) (QTY 4) Laptop carry bag for within facility transport (QTY 4) Canon MG inkjet printers with wifi printing capability (QTY 2) USB 2.0 Printer Cable (QTY 2) Kurzweil 3000 software (integrates assistive technology to aid users with reading comprehension and writing) (QTY 2) Variety of computer mice in order to assess variety of physical capabilities Logitech Trackman Marble Wired Mouse (for those w/ limited hand movement) (QTY 2) Kensington Expert Wireless Trackball Mouse with programmable buttons (for someone w/ limited hand movement) (QTY 2) Logitech MX Vertical Wireless Mouse (for improved wrist alignment -can hold mouse with thumb on top, pinky finger resting on table) (QTY 2) QUHA ZONA Gyroscopic Air Mouse (attaches to a head band (for personal using head control for mouse movement) (QTY 2) Tracker Pro2 Headmouse (tracks head movements and can be used by someone with poor hand control) (QTY 2) BJOY Chin Mouse (for those that use their chin, allows you to adjust the speed, sensitivity and auditory feedback) (QTY 2) GlasOuse (wireless mouse for people who have no use of hands) (QTY 2)
