Description

The Commander Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) Procurement Group (PG), Patuxent River, MD 20670 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a contract to Allied Defence Industries (AD), 210 Commerce Circle, Kearneysville, WV 25430 (Cage Code: 0GD25) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The FRC Mid-Atlantic, Mayport, FL has a requirement for materials for pressure regulator parts. ADI has an exclusive arrangement with the parts original manufacture, Hale Hamilton, for aftermarket support for the supply of Steam Catapult Regulator Valves and related spare parts as fitted on the Nimitz Class Aircraft Carriers used by the U.S. Navy.� For this reason, it is COMFRC PG to award this contract to ADI, (CAGE: 0GD25). � THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered.� The Statement of Work for this notice is included in the RFP. �Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
