Description

This notice is being published as required by FAR 5.201(b)(1). The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with HyTech Associates Sales Company, Inc. (HASCO) Moorpark, CA, for a quantity of eighty-seven (87) Uninterrupted Power Supply Milpower Source, (P/N:M359380-1) batteries in support of �CVN 79. Milpower Source, through its sole US distributor HASCO, is the only known source to meet the UPS battery requirement for shipboard use. Significant amounts of time and funding would be required to allow the possibility of utilizing batteries from other companies, as it would entail re-design of the cabinets, re-qualification under functional and environmental testing, and updating all documentation associated with them.�This will be a sole source procurement to HASCO under NAICS Code: 335910. The Government does not have the detailed data rights for this effort.� NAWCADLKE intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1.� No solicitation package is available for this procurement.� All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.� A determination by the Government not to open the requirement based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If you respond to this synopsis, you must present letter from Milpower Source, Inc., that you are authorized to sell part number M359380-1.
