- The virtual site visit presentation held on 28 September 2023 for the Army Corrections Complex, Ft. Leavenworth, KS has been posted to PIEE Solicitation and SAM.gov as of 28 September 2023. �The presentation provided an additional overview of the Department of Labor (DOL) production cook training aspect of the overall Food Service requirement. �All other items and conditions remain unchanged. *****The purpose of solicitation amendment 0003 is to: 1) Provide information on the additional, virtual site visit scheduled for 28 September 2023; 2) provide answers to written questions submitted by vendors by the 28 Aug 2023 due date (Attachment P); 3) Provide an updated Performance Work Statement, updated Attachment O - USDB Work Process Schedule and Related Instruction and Attachment L - Past Performance Questionnaire - 20230628; 4) Provide an example 21-day menu (Attachment Q) and menu for September 2023 (Attachment R); 5) Proposal due date extended from 4 October 2023 to 19 October 2023 by 2:00 p.m. CDT. All other items and conditions remain unchanged. Leavenworth, KS 66048.� Vendors are allowed up to two personnel per company to attend the site visit.� All vendors shall enter Ft. Leavenworth through the Grant Gate (main entrance), located at Grant Ave, Leavenworth, KS 66048 and make their way to the Military Corrections Complex.� The site visit will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. with an initial briefing. The initial briefing will be followed by a walkthrough of the dining facilities where food service operations will take place.� The site visit will conclude with a close out briefing before departing the facility.� �� Vendors are required to complete the following prior to attending the site visit: � �a. Vendors are required to inform the Contracting Officer and Contract Specialist via e-mail that they will attend the site NLT 2:00 p.m. (Central Daylight Time) on 16 August 2023.� The e-mail will include the company name, and names of personnel attending the site visit.� � �b. The Solicitation was posted to SAM.gov on 4 August 23.� Further explanation and instructions regarding the submission of proposals has been provieded under the SAM.gov Description Section of this Soliciation posting updated on 5 August 23.� All other items remain unchanged. The Mission Installation Contracting Command � Installation Readiness Center (MICC-IRC) has a requirement to procure Food Services (FS) under the Army Food Program to provide quality services in support of the installation food service program that supports the Leavenworth Corrections Command inmates with flexible, efficient and cost-effective service. The service outlined in this requirement encompasses dining facility management functions, food preparation, Department of Labor (DOL) food service training, and facility sanitation (in designated areas). Performance criteria for overall dining facility duties fall under Contractor responsibilities. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to perform the services defined in this PWS except for those items specified as Government Furnished Property (GFP) and services at the Fort Leavenworth military prison facility. The use of NAICS code 722310, Food Service Contractors, was determined the most appropriate because it comprises of establishments primarily engaged in providing food services at institutional, governmental, commercial locations on a contractual arrangement for a specified period of time.��The product service code is M1FD, Operation of Dining Facilities.
