- SOURCES SOUGHT: The VA West Roxbury, Boston, MA requires a contractor to provide professional services to include, but is not limited to, site preparation for new kitchen equipment for Nutrition Food & Services and installation of VA purchased new kitchen equipment as per the VA provided drawings and specifications. Work to be performed at VAMC West Roxbury, 1400 VFW Pkwy, West Roxbury, MA 02132 in accordance with the Statement of Work, Specifications, Drawings, Federal, State, and Local Codes. The Contractor shall provide all the necessary labor, materials, coordination including coordination drawings to complete the site prep work, new kitchen equipment installation and connect all utilities to ensure new kitchen layout is fully operational. Work includes to support the temporary relocation/protection/removal of existing kitchen equipment and installation of new kitchen equipment as per the design drawings and specifications. The site preparation shall include demo of existing utilities as needed and installation of new drain lines, water, gas, electric, and any other utilities to ensure functionality of new kitchen layout. Furnish and install electrical-ins to accommodate new kitchen equipment layout as per the electrical coordination drawings provided by the contractor. Based on coordination drawings, the contractor shall furnish and install all circuit breakers, panels, conduits, cables, junction boxes and relocate electrical outlets as needed to meet specifications for new kitchen equipment layout. The site prep work also includes providing labor and material for new lighting, and new ceiling tiles, specifically, Armstrong kitchen zone ceiling tiles, Armstrong prelude stainless steel grid for tiles and any other related work. The contractor must plan/make arrangements for phasing and schedule work with VA Engineering to make sure the kitchen is fully operational during the construction period. The contractor shall perform all manufacturer recommended tests, commission all new and existing equipment and provide training to VA staff to ensure proper operation and function. The training shall be coordinated with VA staff at minimum two weeks (14 days) in advance. Remove barriers, clean, repair and restore existing surfaces, finishes, etc. to original conditions The purpose of this notice is to determine if there are qualified SDVOSBs or VOSBs, WOSBs, and Small Businesses that have the experience with this type of work and if such firms are interested in this procurement. The magnitude of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. The NAICS code is 236220 and the small business size standard is $45 Million. Interested firms should indicate their interest to the Contract Officer, Michael Muller, no later than 4:00 p.m. EST on 10/20/2023 via email to Michael.Muller@va.gov The following information is required in response to this notice: (1) A positive statement of your intention to submit a proposal in response to a solicitation for this project. (2) Unique Entity Identifier (UEI). (3) Provide one example of a recent project within the last 5 years of similar size and scope showing experience with the requirements of this project description for Kitchen Site Preparation (5) Prime shall provide proof of bonding capacity for a project of this magnitude. (6) Prime shall provide proof of insurance for a construction project of this magnitude. Interested firms shall hold an active SAM registration. Visit www.sam.gov to register in this database. SDVOSB or VOSB firms shall be verified by https://veterans.certify.sba.gov/ The Network Contracting Office 1 looks forward to interest of well-qualified new entrants to contracting with the Veterans Health Administration including the interest of SB and WOSB contractors, and especially responses from verified SDVOSB/VOSB Firms. All information must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on the availability of interested firms. Failure to submit all information requested in addition to the below form will result in a contractor not being considered as an interested concern. If adequate interest is not received by 4:00 p.m. EST on 10/20/2023, this action will not be set-aside for SDVOSBs, VOSBs, WOSBs, or Small Business firms.
