Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering for sale one (1) item of standing timber on approximately 213 acres within two (2) blocks at Maine Army National Guard, Aroostook County, Maine. Approximately the following volumes to be harvested from within the designated block boundaries: Butterfield Lake South Timber sale, timber is per unit � Contains within the harvest block approximately 3,229.63 Tons of designated Balsam Fir, 8,562.50 tons of Aspen, 467.20 tons of Mixed Hardwood, 445.25 tons of firewood, 2,242.90 tons Tamarack, and 2,381.70 tons other chipwood. Item 1: Butterfield Lake South Harvest Area 3 160 acres (Single-Tree-Selection 120 acres, Groups 25 acres, open areas no timber 15 acres). BALSAM FIR � 2,182.25 TON ASPEN (POPLAR) � 6,235 TON MIXED HARDWOOD � 374.10 TON FIREWOOD � 324.22 TON TAMARACK � 1,870.50 TON OTHER CHIPWOOD � 1,683.45 TON Butterfield Lake South Harvest Area 4 53 acres (Single-Tree-Selection 48 acres, Groups 5 acres). BALSAM FIR � 1,047.38 TON ASPEN (POPLAR) � 2,327.50 TON MIXED HARDWOOD � 93.10 TON FIREWOOD � 121.03 TON TAMARACK � 372.40 TON OTHER CHIPWOOD � 698.25 TON Contract Period of Performance: Item # one (1) Butterfield Lake South Timber sale:� All tree felling shall be complete by 31 May 2025, no tree felling shall occur from June 1 to October 31; tree skidding, processing, and hauling shall be complete 1 October 2025; and all site repair work as directed must be complete by 31 October 2025. INSPECTION INVITED ON FRIDAY October 27, 2023, AT 9:00 a.m. AN ADDITIONAL DATE AND TIME MAY BE AVAILABLE DEPENDING ON SCHEDULING AVAILABILITY ��Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. Thursday November 9, 2023 by the Acquisition, Management, and disposal section, real estate office, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, VA, and then opened publicly.
