Title Preventive Maintenance Service Agreement for the Department of Transfusion Medicine of the NIH Clinical Center Product Service Code: J066 NAICS Code: 811210 Place of Performance: Bethesda, MD 20892 USA POTS: 24-000012 Description This is a notice of intent, NOT a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will NOT be issued, and quotations will NOT be requested. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a firm fixed price contract including a base and two option years on a sole source basis to Luminex Corporation of Austin, Texas 78727 to provide a preventative maintenance agreement for two Luminex instruments for the Department of Transfusion Medicine. These instruments are used by the HLA Lab to HLA type transplant patients and donors.� There are two instruments, and both are used daily in the testing for our patients. The period of performance is as follows: Base Year: 01-01/2024-12/31/2024 Option Year 1: 01/01/2025-12/31/2025 Option Year 2: 01/01/2026-12/31/2026 Please see the attached statement of work (SOW) for the specific deliverables required for this requirement. The proposed vendor, Luminex Corporation, is the only manufacturer of these Luminex instruments. They are the only company qualified to perform maintenance and service for their instruments. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 � Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstance of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.� Contracts awarded using FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6-Competition Requirements. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
