Description

The requirement is to provide furniture to support the implementation of NAVAIR�s hybrid work environment.� NAVAIR initiated efforts to implement a hybrid work environment and space utilization program to address space availability issues and to modernize NAVAIR workspaces.� NAVAIR partnered with GSA�s Total Workplace (TWP) Program Management Office and the Architectural and Engineering firm, AECOM, to conduct a series of engagements to gain an understanding of the relationship between people, places, and technology at NAVAIR. From these engagements, AECOM created customized and innovative workplace strategies and completed 15% design drawings for the workforce with the intent of providing scalable, flexible, and replicable agile workplaces that reflect and support the NAVAIR PEO, PMA, and Group goals as mission needs morph and evolve. These strategies are intended to enhance employee flexibility and are based on a hybrid working model that allows employees to work remotely or onsite within a NAVAIR facility in either a collaborative (conference room, shared office, huddle rooms or bullpen workstation clusters) or private setting (office, focus stations or assigned workstation) in support of NAVAIR�s Command Operations Facility Acquisition Cell has been tasked by the NAVAIRSYSCOM to implement the hybrid work environment plans developed by AECOM in Buildings 2272 and 2855 on the Patuxent River Campus.� The statutory authority permitting other than Full and Open Competition is USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The procedures of FAR Part 12 and Part 13.5 will be utilized for this commercial brand name specific acquisition.
