- BACKGROUND 1.1. The Nevada National Security Site is conducting market research to determine potential sources having the qualification, experience, and bonding necessary to perform the described work. The project is a corrective maintenance effort to install a liner on a carbon steel, concrete encased, 8-inch water line for a length of 6.0 miles. REQUIREMENT 2.1. The requirement is for installing a durable liner on the interior of the existing 8� water line.� Interested parties shall have ten years of experience installing liners on potable water lines in accordance with applicable American Water Works Association (AWWA) and Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) standards.� Interested parties must demonstrate qualifications of personnel in response and provide technical specifications for the product to be used.� It is desired that the selected product will include a warranty greater than 1 year and an estimated service life of 25+ years.� The installed liner material must have a pressure rating of 200+ PSI.� The project site is located near Mercury, NV and is approximately 80 miles northwest of Las Vegas, NV. 2.2.�The North American Industry Classification code (NAICS) is 221310. Size Standard for this project is $3 Million. This requirement will be awarded as a firm fixed price construction contract. The Government may use responses to this market survey to make an appropriate acquisition decision for this project. The type of solicitation issued and the manner of advertisement may depend on the responses to this market survey. CAPABILITIES QUESTIONNAIRE Please respond to the following questions to assist the CONTRACTOR in determining the availability of sources capable of meeting the requirement, gain an understanding of possible approaches to execute the work, and an understanding the estimated value of the project. 1) Your intent to submit for this project when it is formally advertised. 2) Name of firm with address, phone and point of contact. Indicate whether or not your firms is a U.S. firm or a foreign firm. 3) CAGE Code, DUNS number, or a copy of your Representation and Certification in SAM.gov. 4) Business size and socioeconomic status, as applicable. 5) Firm's Bonding Capacity - single and aggregate capability. 6) Contract data sheet identifying your recent and relevant experience that would qualify your firm to perform the specified type of work. This should include experience with the construction of new aboveground water storage tank systems, and a Quality Assurance Program that can meet applicable NQA-1 requirements. �Submit no more than three (3) past completed projects within the past seven (7) years from the date of this Sources Sought for which your firm performed work. Data sheets must address recent experience with construction of NQA-1 projects. �Provide any additional information to further substantiate the capabilities of your firm to perform the specific type of work that this project involves. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. This is for market research to determine if there are any vendors, regardless of business size, that can support CONTRACTOR in providing a new access to the underground of the U1a Complex. We are also soliciting industry input for the acquisition strategy. There is no Request for Proposal document at this time.
