Description
Questions asked by vendor: 1. Are you expecting manned entry into the tanks for cleaning? Or rinsing is sufficient? 2. Please confirm that the 'top off' portion will be billed separately, and a price is not included in our bid. 3. How much fuel is in the tanks currently? That will help us scope required temp tank size. 4. After all tank cleaning has been done by the contractor, each fuel tank will top off to the requested amount. Each tank will be tested of any contaminants after fuel and tank cleaning before any new fuel is added to all 9 tanks. When fuel is added, contractor is to give separate invoice of fuel delivered which should include pricing excluding all taxes. This contract will and should cover the cost of additional fuel that is needed to top off all fuel tanks. Are we to add the fuel price for (9) ~20,000 gallon in the price schedule? Answers from VA: 1. SOW says to remove fuel, clean fuel as well as the tank. Whatever methods will be used to get the tank free and void of all particulates is something the bidder will have to be qualified to do. 2. The top off portion is a part of this solicitation and will need to be included in your quote. 3. 9 tanks and each are averaging around 12,500 gallons currently. Tanks need to be filled to approximately 18-19000 gallons each. 4. Yes, you will need to add the fuel price for (9) 18,000-19,000 gallon tanks. They are averaging at 12,500 gallons currently. ______________________________
