Description

The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to conduct market research related to the Department of Justice (DOJ), Justice Management Division�s (JMD), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO)�s requirement for a single, new contractor-owned/contractor-operated (COCO) managed service for CJIS Next Generation Identification (NGI) biometric functionality. The new service will be called the Justice Biometric Identity Service (JBIS) and will provide NGI functionality for existing and future CSA customer agencies.� �This RFI is issued solely for market research and planning purposes. Market research includes the determination of the acquisition strategy including small business participation and industry feedback on the attachments contained in this RFI. DOJ will review the corporate experience of small business contractors interested in providing the services contained in this RFI. DOJ reserves the right to review other federal databases to determine vendor capabilities and past performance.� Small Businesses with all socioeconomic designations are encouraged to respond. RFI amendment 1 is to provide the responses to questions received.� The responses to questions are attached.�� RFI amendment 2 is to update the response to question 5 and address additional questions received. The responses to questions are attached.�� RFI amendment 3 is to extend the RFI response due date based on questions received.� Unfortunately DOJ is not able to extend the RFI response time beyond October 31 and encourages respondents to provide their best efforts by this date.��
