- Sources Sought Notice W912P924Z0001 SOLID WASTE REMOVAL AT LAKE SHELBYVILLE, ILLINOIS This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or make a contract award. NO AWARD will be made from this Sources Sought Notice. This is NOT a request for proposal, quote or invitation for bid. The sole purpose of this notice is to identify potential System for Award Management (SAM) Database registered businesses that are interested and capable of performing this work. USACE is not responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this Sources Sought. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: � The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), St. Louis District, is seeking businesses that are interested in and capable of performing solid waste removal operations throughout the Lake Shelbyville Project area, located in Shelby and Moultrie Counties, Illinois. Contract is anticipated to be a Firm-Fixed Price 5-Year IDIQ with 4 optional years and an optional 6-month extension. Anticipated Contract Start Date: 1 JAN 2023 Note: Period of Performance will be established at the task order level; typical period of performance for a task order is 365 days, to account for seasonal weather restrictions. Work shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, and material necessary to provide refuse containers and removal of refuse from project lands at Lake Shelbyville.� Lake Shelbyville has multiple campgrounds and day use areas utilized by an average of 2-3 million public visitors a year. Contract areas and service limits: The contract areas are located within the boundaries of the Lake Shelbyville Project, located in Shelbyville, IL within the Illinois Counties of Shelby and Moultrie. Work schedule and quantities will be highly dependent on seasonal factors.� The amount of refuse containers and refuse removal service will vary depending on season. HISTORICAL USAGE: Year-round: Approximately 1, 30-yard dumpster serviced every month Peak recreation season (May - September): Approximately 50, 4-yard dumpsters serviced twice a week Off-peak recreation season (April & October): Approximately 35, 4-yard dumpsters serviced twice a week Non-recreation season (winter) (November-March): Approximately 2, 4-yard dumpsters serviced twice a week Periodically use a few 30-yard and 20-yard dumpsters throughout the year Required Trades: The contractor shall have the capabilities of supplying trades including, but not limited to, laborers, heavy equipment operators, and any other skillset deemed necessary to complete the required work in a satisfactory manner. Required certifications: A state driver�s license is required for anyone operating equipment, as well as any additional certifications as required by state or federal regulations, as applicable, for the use of specific equipment. Required Equipment: The Contractor shall furnish and maintain sufficient equipment suitable to perform the work. All equipment shall be maintained in safe operating condition. CAPABILITY STATEMENT: 1. Please provide examples of work within the last 5 five years that your company has performed in the areas listed below; if work was sub-contracted, please annotate this. No more than (3) three projects in any area of work performed. Describe past work experience showing all or more than one of the areas listed that were performed under one contract.
