A solicitation document will NOT be issued, and quotations will NOT be requested. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a firm fixed price contract to Stem cell Technologies Inc. of Kent, Washington 98032 to provide reagents and consumables. The purpose of this purchase contract is to supply the proprietary reagents and consumables for the RoboSep Cell Separators, that is used to separate cell populations for Chimerism testing on various cell populations from peripheral blood of stem cell transplant patients.� Below are the items needed for this action: Catalog #� ������������Description ���������������������������������������������������������� �Quantity 17884 ������������ ������EasySep HLA Chim WB Myeloid Pos Sel Kit� � � � � �18 17871� ���������������� �EasySep HLA Chim WB CD3 Pos Slctn Kit� � � � � � � 18 20125 ������������ ������RoboSep Filter Tip Racks (box of 8)� � � � � � � � � � � � �200 The proposed vendor, Stem Cell Technologies Inc., is the sole manufacturer of these kits used on the RoboSep instruments currently used in DLM. No other vendors can supply them to meet the clinical and research requirements of the Department of Laboratory Medicine. In addition, these kits have been validated for use in the clinic. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 � Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstance of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.� Contracts awarded using FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6-Competition Requirements. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
