- THIS IS AN INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE. This is not a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to provide information based on this requirement. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contacting Office 8, Regional Procurement Office East, on behalf of the Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center, Miami Veterans Healthcare System located at 1201 NW 16th Street, Miami, FL, 33125, intends to award a Firm Fixed Price sole source award to LabLogic Systems, Inc. located at 1911 N US Highway 301, Suite 140, Tampa, FL, 33619, in support of the Research and Development Department. The proposed contract is for a Micro-CT Scanner System with accessories. This sole source award to LabLogic Systems, Inc. is in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 1901 as implemented by way of the procedures in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 13.5. This Sole Source is authorized under FAR subpart 13.106-1(b), soliciting from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of this contract action deem only one source reasonably available. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, quotes, or capability statement. No solicitation will be posted as a result of this notice. This notice complies with FAR 5.101. This Special Notice is being issued for information purposes only. Responses received will be considered for determining sources for future procurements. Any information submitted in response to this notice of intent is strictly voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information submitted. This will be the only notice of the Government's intent. Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. All information shall be in writing, sent via email to Melissa Everett at melissa.everett@va.gov . Responses must be received no later than 4:00 PM EST on November 14, 2023.
