- Description
- The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), Fort Detrick, Maryland intends to issue a sole source contract to Association of Military Surgeons of the United States, Inc. to provide the services of a peer-reviewed medical journal to publish, as a special issue, a subset of the Military Health System Research Symposium (MHSRS) research articles focused on non-trauma medical research for dissemination among MHSRS participants, the United States Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC), and the community of Military healthcare professional and medical scientists, academia, and industry. The requirement is in support of the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC), Fort Detrick, Maryland. The proposed contract action is for the services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR citation is 6.302-1(a)(2) when the supplies or services required by the agency are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), USAMRAA intends to award a sole source contract to Association of Military Surgeons of the United States, Inc. under NAICS code 513120; PSC: 7630. This notice of intent is for information purposes only. All sources eligible to provide this service must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly articulate the ability to provide services outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response. If no responses are received, within 5 days after publication of this notice, to the effect that comparable services are available, and that it is more advantageous to the Government than obtaining these services through a sole source contract, then a sole source acquisition award will be made. Response to this notice is to be sent to Ms. Alana M. Sowers at alana.m.sowers.civ@health.mil.
