Description

SUMMARY This requirement is for design-build services to provide site preparation efforts to Room 277 in Building One (1) at the Providence VA Health Care System (VAHCS) in Providence, Rhode Island. This requirement is classified under construction as it calls for the alteration of real property.The VAMC Providence intends to procure a new Digital Radiology X-Ray from GE. The procurement is intended to include the design and construction of site preparation needs to assure a complete and functional installation.� It is intended that the new GE Discovery XR656 HD X-Ray be installed in Room 277 of Building 1. It is the intent of this Scope of Work that a contractor/vendor shall provide construction services for site preparation for the installation of the new equipment.�This project will provide for construction of utilities services and finishes necessary in the designated locations to allow for the installation of the GE Discovery XR656 HD X-Ray by others.� The work shall include, but not limited to, all labor, transportation, materials, apparatus, tools, equipment and permits necessary to provide for the removal of the existing flooring, floor repairs, new flooring, removal of the existing drop ceiling and hard ceiling above that, new ceiling, remounting of existing cassette cooling system, new Unistrut system, and relocation of electrical work, if required. Strict noise and infection control measures shall be followed.� Existing life safety systems within Building 1 shall not be impaired at any time during the performance of the work. Site Visit / Job Walk is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday,� October 18th, 2023. 10/31/2023 - Amendment 01: Incorperates Attachment 12 and 13 to the solicitation. Attachment 12 includes the site-walk sign-in sheet and the RFI Log (with VA responses). Attachment 13 includes as-builts (DB Team will need to verify) & one-way joist details.
