Description

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price contract for preventative and corrective maintenance of two (2) ion chromatograph-mass spectrometer (IC-MS), one (1) high temperature gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer (HTGC-MS), three (3) GC-MS, one (1) liquid chromatograph- mass spectrometer (LC-MS), one (1) high performance-liquid chromatograph (HPLC), and one (1) gas chromatograph (GC) system. Proposed Contractor: Thermo Electron North America LLC 1400Northpoint Pkwy Ste 50 West Palm Beach, FL 33407-1976 The authority used for the sole source is FAR 13.501(a). The intended period of performance is a base year with four (4) option years. Base Year: 12/03/2023 � 12/02//2024 Option year 1:� 12/03/2024 � 12/02/2025 Option year 2:� 12/03/2025 � 12/02/2026 Option year 3:� 12/03/2026 � 12/02/2027 Option year 4:� 12/03/2027 � 12/02/2028 This announcement constitutes the only notification of the ATF�s intent to solicit on a sole source basis.� A formal combined synopsis/solicitation will not occur.� All solicitation communication will occur directly with the proposed contractor. This acquisition is for a commercial item or service and is conducted under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13�Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR Part 12�Acquisition of Commercial Items.� It is expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold. The notice of award and the written sole source justification will be posted after award.
