- VMI INDUSTRY DAY The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this Notice in accordance with FAR 15.201(e). The agency does not intend to award a contract but rather gather information on capability, delivery and other market information pertinent for acquisition planning. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement and identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VHA Procurement and Logistics Office , Operations, Plans & Readiness (VHA OPR) in conjunction with the Veterans Affairs Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC) will be conducting One-on-One Industry Days with interested companies to discuss the opportunity for a future VA Vendor-Managed Inventory (VA VMI) requirement to increase the agency s on-hand supply (or access to) of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other critical medical supplies in the event of a national public health emergency or natural disaster. Industry will have an opportunity to discuss the Program Objective and to interact directly with Program and Acquisition Officials with questions and answers to promote a dialogue and focused approach for the development of this requirement. One-on-one sessions will be tentatively planned for the week of November 28, 2023, thru December 1, 2023, depending on the level of interest to this announcement. These sessions may extend into the week of December 4-8, 2023, if required based on interest. Each session will be scheduled for approximately 90 minutes in length and will be conducted virtually via MS Teams and may be recorded for note-taking purposes. The government will not reveal, or publish, questions or answers to the submitted questions, any proprietary data, company identification and/or trade secrets that may be discussed. Attendees are encouraged to submit questions and respond with any concerns related to the included Program Objective Document (including sample critical item list) and Market Research Questions. No capability statements or written submittals are required for participation. Each interested company is requested to submit the following information for attendance to Charles Hughes, charles.hughes@va.gov, and David Barber, david.barber@va.gov, no later than 3pm ET, November 17, 2023. Each interested company will be contacted individually to coordinate the specific one-on-one session date and time.
