Description
The Government may have a need for contractor services in support of the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) for the permanent disposal of solid and liquid Class A Low Level Radioactive Waste (LLRW) at a Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) or NRC-Agreement State licensed disposal facility. Waste material for disposal will contain individual radionuclides or combinations of radionuclides listed in Title 10 CFR Part 61. Waste material will meet the limits of Class A waste as defined by Title 10 CFR Part 61 Subpart D Part 61.55. No waste material requiring disposal as Class B or Class C will be disposed under the resulting contract. The Contractor shall provide services for disposal of components having unique design characteristics or for large components. The disposal facility must be able to receive LLRW directly from NNPP sites or from Contractors that have processed NNPP waste under separate contract(s).
