Description
PRE-SOLICITATION SYNOPSIS The USACE Marine Design Center of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to initiate an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the procurement of two (2) triple screw towboats for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New Orleans District in support of its various missions. Principal Characteristics for each vessel: ABS Class Dimensions: Length������....65� Beam�������..26� Draft�������...5�2� Depth �������.8�6� Minimum Air Draft��35�1� Steel hull Three main propulsion engines, 800 HP each - 2400 HP total, conventional propulsion Electrical system powered by two generator sets Berthing for 10-person crew � Two single staterooms with private heads, four double staterooms with shared heads. Bid bond and payment and performance bond will be required. There will be Liquidated Damages associated with this procurement. The Invitation for Bid Number (IFB) W912BU-24-B-0001 is intended to be available on or about November 29 , 2023.� Hard copies will not be available.� No written or fax requests will be accepted.� Contractors may download the solicitation (including drawings) and any amendments via the hyperlink to the Sam.Gov website, www.sam.gov , on (or after) the issue date.� The official media of distribution for the IFB is the Web.� All amendments to the IFB will be posted to the Sam.Gov website.� It is the offeror�s responsibility to monitor the website in order to access the solicitation.� Offerors are responsible for printing copies of the IFB and any amendments. Bids will be due on, or about�January 3, 2024.� NAICS code is 336611 � Ship Building and Repair. All contractors are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300. Information on getting registered may be obtained by accessing the SAM website at www.sam.gov . Instructions will be included in the solicitation.
