Description

The Naval Supply (NAVSUP) Systems Command, Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville (FLCJ), FL intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Phillips Corporation for Omax waterjet maintenance and repair. OMAX utilizes�Phillips Federal as an�exclusive distributor for federal government accounts. Phillips Federal is�authorized to work on behalf and represent OMAX to the federal government. No other distributor or agent is authorized to represent OMAX in the federal government space. Phillips Federal utilizes only OMAX factory technicians for all services on OMAX�machines. All parts supplied by Phillips Federal are OEM shipped directly from the�factory with no aftermarket substitutions allowed to comply with the strict design requirements of the�machines. All parts and services provided by Phillips Federal are fully warranted by OMAX Corp. Parts and services provided by non-approved vendors will not be covered under warranty. An award to any other source would jeopardize compatibility with existing equipment and/or would result in substantial duplication of cost or additional cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition, in addition to unacceptable delays in meeting the Government requirements. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) code that these items fall under is 811310, with a size standard of $12.5 million. The notice of intent is for information purposes only. This notice does not constitute a request for a proposal, request for quote or an invitation to bid. All sources eligible to provide the requirement must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly articulate the ability to provide this requirement as outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response. If no responses are received, within two (2) calendar days after publication of this notice, to the effect that comparable items or services are available, and that this is more advantageous to the Government than obtaining this product or service through a sole source contract, then a sole source acquisition award will be made.
