Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 12405B24Q0024 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The NAICS code is 334516 � Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. This solicitation document incorporates those provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-06.� Any quotes not meeting the minimum specifications will not be considered.� The United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Plant Science Research Unit, Raleigh, North Carolina requires targeted genotyping by sequencing (GBS) of 1344 wheat samples with the AgriSeq wheat genotyping panel. The AgriSeq wheat genotyping panel consists of 5000 specific informative genomic targets identified by scientists at the USDA- ARS Regional Small Grains Genotyping Laboratories. The resulting genetic marker data will be used in conjunction with the Plant Science Research Unit�s investigation into the complex genetic traits of plants. Requirements: The service must include: DNA Library preparation for quantity of 1344 wheat samples for AgriSeq targeted GBS Sequencing of prepared AgriSeq DNA libraries Delivery of AgriSeq wheat panel target variant calls in the form of a genotype call hapmap and corresponding variant call format files. The government anticipates award of a firm fixed priced contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the specifications that will be the most advantageous to the government in accordance with FAR 13.106-2.
