Description
Special Notice: Sources Sought The Orlando Veterans Administration Medical Center (OVAMC) has an ongoing requirement for On-site Autotransfusion Services. The Contractor shall furnish all key personnel to provide these services. The Contractor s care shall cover the range of Autotransfusion Services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceed currently recognized national standards as established by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion http://www.abcp.org. Place of Performance: OVAMC, 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando, FL 32827 Period of Performance: The anticipated period of performance for this contract will be from 03/07/2024 through 03/06/2029 for the base year and four (4) one (1) year option periods. Description of Services: The Contractor shall furnish all key personnel to provide services necessary to perform onsite Autotransfusion Services to eligible beneficiaries. The Autotransfusionist is responsible to check the OR schedule daily for surgical procedures requiring Autotransfusionist services; coordinate scheduled periodic preventative maintenance and repair calls for VA owned equipment and maintain a record of such; assure a minimum of four complete sets of supplies for open heart and Autotransfusion cases are available at any given time; sets up and operates Autotransfusion pump for surgical procedures other than open heart. Also, generates a record during each surgical case to include the surgical time of the procedure and the amount of autotransfused blood given to Anesthesiology for delivery to the patient and handle breakdown of disposable within autotransfusion pump after completion of each procedure. This is a request for sources and information only and it is intended for market research and planning purposes, which may or may not lead to a future solicitation. This is not a request for quotes. The VA will not pay for any information received resulting from this sources sought notice. Requests for copies of a solicitation shall not be honored or acknowledged. However, if your firm can provide these requirements and it is interested in this opportunity, please provide written notification to the Contracting Officer. SDVOSB or VOSB must be certified in the Veterans Small Business Certification website at: Veteran Small Business Certification (sba.gov) Services and documentation of care provided under the resultant contract shall be subject to quality management and safety standards as established by VA, consistent with the standards published by the Joint Commission (TJC) or equivalent. The contractor shall develop and maintain Quality Improvement/ Quality Assurance Programs and provision of care equal to or exceeding VA Standards for employees. The results of all Quality Improvement activities performed by the contractor involving VA patients will be shared with VA Quality Management Office. Responsibilities of the contractor: Contractor shall be responsible for meeting or exceeding VA and Joint Commission (or equivalent) standards. The contractor shall provide its services as specified in the current Accreditation Manual of the Joint Commission and American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion standards. Conflicts of Interest: Contractor has reviewed applicable Federal, State, and local conflict of interest laws to assure that conflict of interest situations does not inadvertently arise. Confidentiality: Contractor agrees to abide by all applicable Federal laws and regulations pertaining to the privacy of patients and or VA employees, including all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996/ Information Security regulations as they are implemented within the VA. The contractor also agrees to abide by the confidentiality requirements of the protocols. Only responses from authorized representatives of the firm will be considered. Adequate knowledge, skills, and abilities providing 30-Day Community-Based Emergency Transitional Residential Environment for Veterans who are Homeless will be considered.
