Action Code:� Sources Sought Notice Subject:� Maintenance Painting for Bourne Bridge, Cape Cod Canal, MA Sources Sought Number:� W912WJ-24-X-0022 NAICS Code: 238320 Response date:�� 15 December 2023 Place of Performance: US Army Corps of Engineers, New England District 696 Virginia Road Concord, MA 01742-2751 US The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing this Sources Sought Announcement for Construction Services for Maintenance Painting of the Bourne Bridge over the Cape Cod Canal, Buzzard Bay, Massachusetts.� This announcement is to determine interest, availability, and capability of 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned and Small Business concerns for this project.� The NAICS code for this procurement is 238320 with a size standard of $19M. The project is planned to be issued in the Spring of 2024 with construction to start in late Summer 2024.� The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The work of this project consists primarily of performing solvent cleaning for selective below deck structural steel framing, then applying penetrating sealer and a protective topcoat.� Bourne bridge is a seven span structural steel vehicular traffic truss bridge spanning across the cape cod canal with a total length of about 2,400 feet.� Center span arch truss is over water while remaining six spans are mostly over land, see informational graphics accompanying this notice.�� Six major group of painting areas as follow: Paint steel framing surfaces either side of the bridge deck expansion joints. Selective removal of 500 SF of bridge deck Stay-In-Place (SIP) forms that are corroded and loose posing potential hazard to the public below. Selective painting of corroded structural steel surfaces for bridge spans 4, 5, 6 and 7 (please see attachment for photos).
