Description
This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institute of Health/Clinical Center/Office of Purchasing and Contracts intends to award a firm fixed-price contract to Peak Scientific Inc, Billerica, MA 01862 to procure preventative maintenance service for two gas generators for the Department of Laboratory Medicine (DLM) at the NIH Clinical Center. The PEAK Genius gas generators are used to provide high quality nitrogen and gas for the Mass Spectrometers already existing within the Clinical Center to operate efficiently.� Performing annual preventative maintenance service for the nitrogen and gas generators will guarantee the proper operation of the Mass Spectrometers. Peak Scientific Inc. is the only provider of the required parts and components to fit the gas generators and allow them to operate properly and continuously without downtime.� In addition, the Peak Scientific engineers are fully trained to repair their own equipment, troubleshoot problems and optimize the system using their proprietary diagnostic tools and technology.� Having a maintenance contract guarantees priority service to include having an engineer onsite within 48 hours of a breakdown.� Period of Performance shall be for a base year of twelve (12) months from date of award with one (1) one (1) year option periods. The complete service plan covers/includes: 1 or 2 (depending on model of generator) on-site Preventative Maintenance visits per year by a Peak engineer. All maintenance parts, labour and engineer travel charges - Full function check - Component retrofits carried out when applicable. Compressor Repair / Replacement included when required (compressors internal to the generator only). Breakdown/Repair Service with priority on site Engineer availability � including all breakdown/repair parts, labour and engineer travel charges. �� Guaranteed on-site response time of 48 hours for break-down calls. � Online Technical Support Compressor service and compressor replacements when required. 48 hour breakdown/repair service with priority engineer on site response time. All breakdown/repair parts, labor and engineer call-out fees. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement 811210. This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of the FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) allowing the Contracting Officer (CO) to solicit from one source. Interested concerns capable of providing the same or similar products or services as described in this notice may submit a capability statement outlining their capabilities. Capability Statements must be received within the time set forth in this synopsis to be considered by the Government. A determination to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Each response should include the following Business Information: a. DUNS. b. Company Name, address, POC, Phone and Email address c. Current GSA Schedules or NAICS codes appropriate to this Award. d. Type of Company (i.e., small business, 8(a), woman owned, hubZone, veteran owned, etc.) as validated in System For Award Management (SAM).
